Security is a core aspect of the vulnerability of the poor. Security sector reform aims to develop a secure environment based on development, rule of law, good governance and local ownership of security actors.
The Department for International Development (DFID) is reorganising its security and justice material with a view to presenting it on one site. Until then, materials on security sector reform will be available at the GSDRC and at the Global Facilitation Network for Security Sector Reform (GFN-SSR).
